Icing on the cake:

From Harvard Medical Reivew:

New medical research studies released today have concluded:

1) that ear problems are due to using same phone as strangers. Only solution, everyone must limit calls to their own cell phone.

2) also, use low energy consuming cdma phones to avoid cancer and impotence.

From Golf Digest:

1) Having a cdma phone in you bag will allow you to play golf while people think you are in the office.

Should be good for another 20 points tomorrow!

Clark,

There still seems to be a lot of confusion. Me included which isn't unusual.

Ramsey said : "I think one of the callers (did not catch name) got it right. He asked "what is the downside for QC on this deal, looks like you guys ripped ERICY off ..." (not exact words)."

Ramsey said he thinks one of the callers got it right and uses his words and then says there not exact words he heard. Wow great interpretation on his part but he's made mistakes on what he's read before.

The news releases are just as confusing as Ramsey's mumbo jumbo. News sources are quoting other news sources and you alone have provided views from both sides of the coin. Most of your questions have been answered from the release today but I agree with your strong point a JV would have been a better deal.

As Ramsey said it looks like ERICY got ripped off because the Q got rid of the infrastructure and I agree but why would the Q agree to invest with ERICY in what they sold that lost money ?

Seems like every 6 months ERICY is laying off 10 % of their work force because of losing market share in what they were a dominant factor.

Gilder has said the Q is the next INTEL and if he's right the Q's on track. It's amazing how many PC's in the world just have that one lonely processor that is the leading seller in the world. It looks like the Q has taken the same avenue and will pursue that direction. Why make the whole PC ?

If the Q can continue to provide the heart of the product and let others worry about the rest things may well be in order and profits should flow. I still feel there are huge hurdles to over come. CDMA is quite successful in the USA but we still use inches and feet while the rest of the world is metric. Most of the world is GSM so will they go CDMA ?

Time will tell. Thanks for your two sided view .

Jim
