I don't like snakes at all. I hate summer, we get dozens of bull snakes and garter snakes in the yard. They are harmless but startle the bejeepers out of me.

When I had the duck hunting club that place was infested with snakes. Mostly water snakes but had a few copperheads, moccasins and rattlers, although I never saw a rattler. I always carried a .22 pistol when I was there. Also careful about where I parked and what I picked up.

<<Australia has the nastiest snakes in the world, as well as more than its share of other poisonous creatures.>>

I watch a program where an Aussie naturalist messes with all sorts of critter but usually with crocks or poisonous snakes. One program he toured the wilds of Australia and handled the 10 deadliest species. That guy is nuts. Some he crawled up to and had his face just inches away from the snake.
