Did not mean to be the lone opposing opinion on this board. My point was,and still is that Ampex is in a very precarious position. On one hand they have their core position of being a high end storage company with a many patents and a long history of innovation. On the other hand they are trying to become a internet portal or content provider that will use their video storage technology's to improve the current standard. The problem as I see it is what do they want their "core" company to be? Yes all these internet domains and registrations hold possibilities but to what end and where will the revenues be derived from? I am long on Ampex but I am also a realist.The majority of these start up internet company's will fail due to lack of content or funding. Ampex as of right now has little content,no internet brand recognition and limited funding, That is a very speculative investment right now.
