I just read this week's Barron. Internet is where it's at - it is the future. I also read all the press releases and comments by analysts on all the ebays, ubid, etc. Right now the auction sites are the hottest sectors of the internet. It seems like everybody wants to get into the auction business. The portals like yhoo, excite, etc. seem to have peaked. BID.com could not have better timing in coming onto the NASDAQ and in being the object of pursuit as possible takeover candidate. The Nasdaq is about as sure as the days gets bright and night gets dark. On the first day of trading it will act like an IPO with the price doubling or even tripling. Look at this week's and last week's IPO like IVIL, AWEB, autobytel. Look at vertical net from few weeks ago. We should rock and roll. Even though the takeover may not materialize, it will serve to support BID,com,s price at 12. I am an American. I just bought into this stock recently. You Canadians have no idea on how cheap this stock is, even at its current US $9 and change. The valuation is amazingly low compared to ebay and ubid. When the 'ipo' comes, the analysts will be looking at the 600% revenue growth rate year to year as reported in the last quarterly statement. Furthermore, with other new sources of revenues and expansion into Ireland, etc., the revenue growth rates can easily be sustained. As a bonus, BID.com is expected to be profitable in the third quarter!!! What a fantastically bright future we have!!! I also want to say that it was a pain in the neck for me as an American to buy this stock. Because this is a foreign stock for us Americans, Fidelity would not let me buy BID.com on touchtone or via the net. I had to go through a real live representative. It was only through my own persistence that I was able to make my purchase. If you think there is a lot of Americans buying bid.com now, wait till it gets listed on the NASDAQ. You ain't seen nothing yet when U.S. daytraders get their hands on this one. I also have a suggestion for all bid.com longs. This morning I bought a Micheal Jordan card for $15 for my son's birthday present. I also bought a cordless telephone at a great price - something that I would have bought at Sears but only at a higher price. I would urge all bid.com longs to try their site. It's fun and easy to use. And buy something - something that you need or touches your fancy. I feel really good after spending my American dollars, knowing that I got a great deal and helping my own investments. Best of luck to all.
