An addendum to my previous post, bid.com is the premiere internet company in Canada, serving 50 - 60 million of you Canadians up north. BID.com is the only auction company accepting Canadian funds for payment. I can't imagine that any American company like ebay, or amazon.con who wants to start an auction company or who wants an international presence would not at least consider buying bid.com. It's so much easier to make money when you have an existing base of customers and you are the first kid on the block. EBAY's market cap is 20 billion. BID.com's MC is less than $400 million US. 1998 sales: ebay = $47 million US, BID.com = $15 million US. What a bargain bid.com is.
Now you see why an American like myself bought a piece of this Canadian jewel!!!!!!

CNBC has been reporting that Amazon may be going into the auction business. Perhaps another potential buyer of Bid.com?

Thanks PC, good to ear that kind of support from our neighbors!
At $9us a takeover would worth $350M.

I'm sure that everyone will want to pick up were we left on Friday, by getting in as quick as they can a $14cdn if it stay's that low at the opening witch I doubt very much.

PCKL . ..

Good post. Agree with you 100%. When traded in America we will see amazing figures. Bid.com is finally being noticed here and with the price compared to the others here people are gonna jump all over this stock.

Also bought products from bid.com at substantially lower prices then in stores. Also checked software prices compared to the PC warehouses and even with shipping the price still was better.

You are also absolutely right about not being able to buy into bid.com easily. I know many people who were told the same as you, if they didn't make it very incovenient, they make it impossible, to buy shares. If people aren't persistent they don't get in. There are people I know people who never were in the market that are trying to get in on this, and told that it can't be bought here. These people don't know no better and are waiting for it to get here. Once people are enabled to purchase it with ease, who knows where it could go . .
