If the shares go for 20, thats nearly a double from the price VLSI was at prior to the offer. How many buyouts go for a 100% premium, let alone more than this? I don't know the answer but would guess not many.

Your doing that was a better idea than mine. I feel badly that I sold my stock to buy leaps. I should have kept the stock and written calls the way you did.
