Fabeyes your comment: "who would of thought 7 years ago a process that uses basically sand and salt would be used to manufacture DRAMs?" is interesting, but it has been more than 40 years now that everyone knows that you use sand to make chips (G) and every metallurgist worth his salt, knew how to use sand and salt to look at their metallurgical cross sections for even longer. The principles are exactly the same, it is the control of the process that has changed quite dramatically.
