Dave, thanks for the reply. I've upgraded the RAM to 16Mb and upgraded the HD to 2Gb from 384Mb. I'm going to take your suggestion and cut my losses right here. By the way, does anyone have a recommendation as to what anti-virus program I should install on my PC? I've heard Norton Anti-Virus is supposed to be highly recommended but just wanted some other opinions. Thanks. Sue

Hi gang, I am looking to buy a second hard drive for backup purposes. I hope someone can tell me if this makes any sense, and what the logistics of that might be. My current setup is a Quantum Fireball 3 gig drive that makes noises that scare me (and has had a few sectors go bad...thanks to the guys in my local store for giving me that 'bargain') and frequent backups of my important files on a Zip drive. I like the idea of two drives but is it possible? Or should I just give up and go with the new one and dump the old one? Is it worth it to get a SCSI drive?
