... if SI did not adopt those features, it was going to get behind in the game because the RB site was free.

michael.

real time quotes...
it would be nice if si offered them, yes.
the "ignore" button?
of course, it would be nice not to need it, but....
ok...it might be a blessing.

but the cachet of si, its historical population, and its
consequent content would be very hard, if not impossible
to achieve in a gratuitous format...

if the server glitches on si continue,
and they fail to keep technological pace...
yes, they would be flagging.,
but,
i would still prefer this environment
and its cohesiveness to any semblance of RB,
all features included....

I agree that "Ignore that Poster" would be a useful feature. For me SI was free as a long time member, so I really don't know the current charge. A small charge would discourage multiple IDs, and I think it's a good idea to prevent multiple IDs. The thing that sets SI apart is the quality of the posts, which is related to excluding some of the more immature participants. Also, SI does discipline people that cross certain lines, which I think improves the threads immensely.
