You are obviously a much more knowledgeable student of history than I am but..when I visited Yugoslavia years ago..I couldn't believe how much hate there was there .. I don't think your solution would have helped anything but possibly made things even worse.. The macedonians appeared to hate the montenegrians etc..just sounded like a bad kingston trio record..actually a nightmare waiting to happen.. Now that there is no longer a balance of power..ie two superpowers .I just hope we get some great diplomats into high positions..diplomats not beauocrats.. ps..how do you see the US's trade deficit unwinding?
