Pacific Capital Bancorp Announces Annual Shareholders' Meeting Date BusinessWire Friday February 26 8:16pm SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1999--Pacific Capital Bancorp (Nasdaq:SABB) Friday announced that the Board of Directors has set May 18, 1999, as the date of its annual shareholders' meeting. According to David W. Spainhour, president of the company, "Our by-laws require that we hold our meeting in April unless changed by the Board of Directors. Because of the fire at our company's headquarters last weekend, it will take some extra time to produce the financial statements that are sent to shareholders before the meeting and therefore it was decided to postpone the meeting a few weeks. "All customer-related services that were handled in this building were fully functional by the first business day after the fire because of the extraordinary efforts our technology and support units have made.
