<OT OT OT>

Did not they do an ethnic cleansing in Germany some 6 decades ago? Serbs are
positioning their tanks near mosques and Albanian people such that NATO will not hit
those targets.

Paul,

You are correct on both accounts:-( I don't believe we had much choice in the matter but I also do not have a clue how to end it. My only point is I see the problem as major and do not know a solution.

There surely are military people out there that can create a plan far better than I.

Glenn

Are we sure that the F-117 was shot down? The Stealths have a history of crashing due to manuever malfunction. According to a defence expert who saw the photographs, he felt that the manner in which the crashed parts appear, would lead one to conclude that it was not shot down. A target that has been shot down would be splintered. Anyway, getting the pilot back was good and I do not think this will impact the markets.

HOWEVER, there is one thing I am worried about and that is rising gasoline prices and its impact on Wall St. Here in California, price at a gas station that I fill my gas at went from 1.09 to 1.49 within a week to 10 days. It is expected to go up even higher. What is the situation elsewhere with gasoline prices? I can understand the factors here in California, refinery closedowns due to fires, MTBE etc. etc. But is the situation with gas prices elsewhere the same?

Such high prices will impact the inflation figures and the FEDs will have to act. Does anybody share this view?
