Ed, I agree with you. Either MSFT wins the case or reaches a reasonable settlement while they can.

I am not fooled by all those state attorney comments that they want Windows code auctioned off etc...
These guys will get on Jackson's nerves if they don't cut it out. That is if they don't reach a settlement---he might think they are responsible for the lack of a deal. It forces him to make a decision. I do think he like the DOJ people somewhat, ie David Boies and Klein.
