From reading the tread I was under the impression that T was locked into an old technology TDMA. But I did not know that it was easy to switch over to CDMA from TDMA. From the sound of the T news release they see no reason to switch from TDMA, I can see why, with all the hand sets out already.

Thanks,

Greg

Mr Fun ,

I've been reading your informed and measured posts on various telecomm threads. While checking your profile I noticed that you had posted on the Q thread about a month ago so I presume that you ‘re also following wireless. I'm hoping that you'd be willing to take the time to respond to some questions. Here's some for starters.

1)Have investors become overly optimistic about QCOM in the wake of the Ericsson infrastructure sale and settlement, will QCOM be able to compete in the handset market, retain ASIC lead and marketshare?

2)How do you see the handset market evolving? Will the entrance of the Japanese and Koreans permanently change the game or will the Europeans continue to dominate?

3)Do you have an opinion of what the 3G WCDMA/ CDMA2000 standards war is about, will WCDMA really do anything that CDMA2000 won't other than operate in a different piece of spectrum, have the Europeans managed to “steal” CDMA?

Hoping you don't feel put upon...

Dave
