Oh, and I forgot one of the biggest highlights of the trip...a visit to Bass Pro Shop's "Outdoor World". Everything and anything an avid hunter/fisherman ever desires! Well, no dogs...but everything else. Dr. Lojiks even enjoyed the trip there (although she tended to gravitate more towards the clothing section). If it was only about 3,000 miles closer to my house, I would visit often...but I guess that's why they publish catalogs.
At the bar I looked around and noticed that I wasn't the only one watching the ticker. Had CNBC on alongside ESPN, and I think CNBC might have been winning the viewer battle. Really, it's pretty incredible the number of people in the market these days compared to maybe 10 years ago.
I tried to focus on ESPN before she saw me, but I never could pull one over on Dr. Lojiks. The price I pay for marrying a psychologist I guess.
Congrats on your ORCL buy. I think it might be quite a while before MSFT can wrestle the DB market from them...if they ever could. Although MSFT is definitely the big boy on the block, they aren't exactly "liked" by most of us geeks. If there is a better choice out there, most of us geeks will lobby for it. Of course, getting our desires past management has always been the tough part. And we are not the everyday "users" that purchase Windows '98, Word, or PowerPoint, so our likes and dislikes don't necessarily have a great effect on Microsoft's earnings. Anyway, I think you're going to be happy...

...now where is that disclaimer of mine! Oh yeah, all is JMHO (yeah, yeah, what a wimp...I know). lol
