Well Barbara, the issue is not knowledge, it is skill now isn't it when it comes to being a visionary? Mr. Roof has written a book about programming. Such books are basically collections. The important skill here is one of collecting and organizing little facts and tips about programming. To build a bridge to being a technical visionary is rather tenuous starting at the point of being a technical writer and cataloger. I see no demonstration of such skill in these types of activities.
