While I've never considered Bob Palmer much of a visionary, I wonder what effect his presence will have on AMD's relationship with Compaq. I can't recall the connection, but I remember having discussions about Palmer's relationships with the powers that be at Compaq dating back beyond 1981.

Then again, CPQ and AMD seem to be pretty chummy already.
