Frank-Vegas-Johnny G ... I hope you're all pounding down a brewski tonight as I wound up being one of the guys funding the celebration parties going on amongst the ABOV'rs ! I have been sitting on the fence with regards to ABOV & EXDS ... and yesterday afternoon decided to wait late Tuesday or Wednesday to finally buy in. Of course after hearing & reading the news at 07:00 EST this morning I tried to buy at the open and it cost me $99 bucks per copy to join the party. Congratulations to all of you better - faster - smarter investors than me ! But what the hell, it's only money and I figure it's better getting to the party a little late than never and I'm now strapped in for probably a very choppy ride until 5-7.
Thanks for all of the great posts guys !
Gardener

AboveNet Brings High Speed 'Last Mile'
Connectivity to Clients Through
Strategic Partnership With Rhythms

SAN JOSE, Calif., Mar. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- AboveNet Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:
ABOV - news), the architect of a global one-hop network that brings together high
bandwidth content sites and ISPs in a centralized co-location facility, today announced a
strategic partnership with Rhythms, a provider of networking solutions for remote access to
private networks and the Internet. This relationship joins AboveNet's reliable high-speed
one-hop Internet connectivity with the ''last mile'' remote access solutions offered by
Rhythms.

Rhythms has placed networking equipment at AboveNet's San Jose Internet Service

accessibility to Rhythms' services, including DSL.

''By offering our clients and our partners' clients services such as Rhythms' DSL-based
solutions, we are demonstrating our commitment to provide complete online solutions
through strategic partnerships,'' said Sherman Tuan, CEO of AboveNet. ''Combining
Rhythms' high-speed local access, with AboveNet's one-hop network architecture, delivers
an end-to-end high speed solution that allows end-users to fully-experience emerging
applications such as video and audio streaming and Voice-over IP without being crippled by
the congestion of today's Internet infrastructure.''
