If GNET can continue to run and hold its run, then surely this internet backbone provider can. Here is GNET's chart:

As I felt the chart was telling us in my post this morning - the stock has now definitely confirmed the psychological importance of the $100 mark.

Down down down she fell like a knife through warm butter from $111 to $100.50. Then in the last minutes going into the close the buyers appeared, driving the price right back up for a close SOLIDLY over $100.

Based on momentum alone, this chart says $130 to $180 in short order.

AboveNet Teams With European
Internet Pioneers To Improve Internet
Performance in Germany

Regional ISX Will Deliver Autobahn Speed for Online Traffic, More
Reliable Connections

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- AboveNet Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:
ABOV - news), the architect of a global one-hop network that brings together
high-bandwidth content sites and ISPs in a centralized co-location facility, today announced
it has formed a strategic joint venture with some of Europe's leading Internet pioneers to
build a regional Internet Service Exchange(TM) (ISX(TM)) in Frankfurt, Germany. Two of
the partners, Michael Schneider and Andreas Schachtner, were founders of EUnet Germany,
one of the first and most successful ISPs in Europe, which is now UUNET Germany. The
third partner, Albrecht Kraas, in conjunction with Mr. Schachtner, is a managing director of
the company, which operates Germany's Internet Exchange Point, DE-CIX. Today's
announcement marks the second strategic joint venture in AboveNet's European expansion
plan. Together with the Austrian ISX announced last week, the German ISX will allow
AboveNet to reach most of the German speaking Internet market in Europe.

AboveNet is working to form a series of joint ventures with experienced Internet
management teams and strategic partners to create regional ISXs in the major business
centers across Europe. Mr. Schneider and his team bring a wealth of knowledge and
experience to the partnership. EUnet Germany was a driving force in building EUnet Europe,
which had operations in more than 30 countries and was the first and one of the largest
pan-European ISPs. QWEST Communications, Inc. in March 1998 acquired EUnet Europe.
In addition to founding EUnet, Mr. Schneider has also been the VP of a major German Telco,
CNI -- today Mannesmann Arcor -- and is currently Chairman of the German ISP trade
association, which is also the leading trade association for e-commerce, eco - Electronic
Commerce Forum. Mr. Schneider is also the President of EuroISPA, the European ISP trade
association.

Through this alliance, AboveNet will provide the network architecture model, network
intelligence and software technology necessary to create the German ISX facility. AboveNet
will be the exclusive provider of connectivity services to the ISX and it will be linked
directly into AboveNet's Global One Hop Network. The new German ISX, which is
scheduled to open in the second half of 1999, will provide a robust, scalable Internet
infrastructure designed to handle the accelerating Internet traffic growth occurring in Europe.

''I look forward to working with Michael Schneider, Andreas Schachtner and Albrecht
Kraas. I believe that we have the opportunity to create a similar impact in the co-location
business as they did years ago when they founded EUnet,'' said Warren J. Kaplan, President
and Chief Operating Officer of AboveNet. ''Our goal is to extend our ISX vision around the
world -- to which the German speaking countries are key and provide businesses and users
everywhere with a convenient, powerful solution to Internet congestion.''

''I have been working with Michael's team for several years and I am very impressed with
their management and entrepreneurial skills,'' said Dr. Paul Steiner, Vice President,
International-Europe for AboveNet. ''They have a successful track record, with a strong
reputation and good standing in the German and European Internet community. This is an
excellent team and they perfectly meet all our criteria for a leading strategic partnership.''

''We are pleased to join forces with AboveNet, because their vision coincides with our own
-- to improve Internet performance in Europe and reinforce the infrastructure to support
expected traffic growth,'' said Michael Schneider, CEO of AboveNet Germany.
''AboveNet's management team has shown great integrity and commitment to making this
joint venture a true partnership.''

The European Regional ISX facilities are being designed to deliver to local communities a
fast, reliable and scalable Internet solution for mission-critical and high bandwidth
applications. These world class facilities will co-locate both content providers and ISPs
together to deliver superior connectivity for local access and a direct link into AboveNet's
global network. ISX members will benefit from improved Internet performance and
reliability as a result of the company's extensive global peering arrangements with more than
210 major ISP networks.
