John, I don't wish to comment on the majority of your post. I make the presumption it was well thought out. However, I did catch a reference to Canada's second place newspaper. Trust me. I have read the G & M for years; also the Financial Post. The National Post has left the Globe in the chuckwagon dust. I am too busy to check your profile for nationality, etc. I have just been up for 20 hours. For we Canadians, the N. P. has connected the country from all parts with its local coverages. Additionally, it has coordinated this with world news. They have hired superb writers (whether you agree with their particular slants or not).

As a Canadian for nearly fifty years, I can assure you that the Globe is not inclusive of a National character...and it does not hold a candle to the new National Post. I don't know the circulation numbers...and I don't care. Many times already I have seen the N.P. beat the rest of the world to significant events, developments, or trends.

Not looking for an argument as this was not the thrust of your post. However, you inserted it for a reason...and this is a point on which we differ. Best regards,

Barry
