I don't know Gary. Here's more on LU's wireless technology: Message 8591815

You can see how useful combining voice and data over wireless would be for a big-box retailing operation. If these products from LU are heading in that direction, it sounds pretty good to me. And if you were going to take a partial solution from anybody, taking it from LU gives you a very good bet the rest of the pieces will come together.

This old world and new world BS is the illusion created by CSCO. It is a bunch of BS. There is no such thing. The world and the technology in a constant evolution. Those who keep dreaming to create some thing in Fantasy like CSCO will keep dreaming, as LU will keep adapting to changing circumstances. Both Circuit and packet switching will co-exist for many years until Pure packet switching becomes as reliable as so called old circuit switching. FYI, you and CSCO employees still depend on this old! circuit switched telephones. Get real, nobody is throwing away those old phones, until you can find me a reliable and dirt cheap equipment.

Go LU, Beat the shit out of CSCO. Time to attack them at their Buggy Routers.

Would you like to compare salaries, yours versus Home Depot's IT director? And with anybody higher up who approved the purchase, as there may have been?

Since Market Valuation is a useful tool for companies why not personnel...if one is to compare effectiveness and decisionmaking capabilities...

Gary, I have a question for you, when will Cisco stop using old world PBX technology for their own companies voice and make the JUMP to an all IP system. I take it Cisco can't take that chance and make the JUMP. Watch Lucent provide IP into their old world PBX technology and provide a migration path for their customers.

On your Home Depot comment, what is Cisco's wireless solution? Home Depot has purchased New World Lucent wireless equipment.
