Too, since I have developed some distaste for the ethics of PSFT management, I find it interesting that they announce this and then rapidly follow with "we will cease giving any kind of public projections in the future." Yeah, in public. Soundview and other favored analysts will still have the right to grab an entire afternoon of audience with top brass, at shareholders' expense, on shareholders' time.


They used to be the most ethical software company around. Then last year they had that PR that said "things were on track"... remember that? And then earnings which were not exactly on track - well, licenses were not good. Its hard to believe it is the same management.... but it just shows you what people will do to save the image of their company... since bad numbers ultimately can hurt new prospects I would imagine.
