Chip, re: "10% moves into the future..."

Hi Chip,

I have thought of extrapolating it, but I there is no apparent linear, or even logarithmic pattern to the moves.

The 10% moves after reaching a milestone:

1000 on 11/14/72. 10% step to 1100 reached on 2/24/83. Over 10 years. I think we were in a recession.

2510 on 7/17/87. 10% step to 2750 closely reached on 8/17/97 at 2700 Then Black Monday on 10/19/87 took out %23 and 2800 was reached on 2/2/90. About 2.5 years.

5000 on 11/21/95. 10% step to 5500 reached on 2/8/96. 2-3 months.

My next step would be to correlate the 10% moves with economic and political data.

Jon :)
