ATI 50% - market share in computer graphics chips. Increasing market share in a exploding market. We may have a baby gorilla after all!

If the 50% market share quoted in the Forbes article below is true; the entire valuation model for ATI changes significantly. They will have greater market presence than all their competitors combined.

The US market tends to value market leaders with a PE premium.

Any guesses what quarterly earnings might be with 50% market share.

1)I don't think the sales to e-machines, have been factored into this quarter's projections.

2)Apple has been out of inventory for Imacs

3)Has ATI been shipping set top box chips this quarter? Or do we get a big bonus next quarter.

4)Hand held devices, palm pilots and personal organizers are another segment that is exploding. I can't help but notice how poor their displays tend to be. How much longer until ATI has a product to enhance these devices.
