Well here it is folks FINANCING.

I am impressed with this statement:

''This cash infusion furthers our ability to grow our business of providing voice-enabled services for
telecommunications carriers and Internet companies,'' commented Steve Markman, General Magic's chairman,
chief executive officer and president. ''The added financing will help us build the market for voice-enabled
services, which analysts predict will reach $2 billion to $3 billion by 2001 in the U.S.'

Clearly it seems that they are adding the extra NOC because they beleive that they are going to secure portico or portico-like deals with major
telecommunications carriers. They are gonna try to slice as big a piece of that multi-billion dollar pie as they possibly can.

GO GMGC!!!

Let's hope tomorrow gets us up back to better figures

Isn't this another CONVERTIBLE deal? Just like the last
one we had? The one that contributed to our tanking?

What am I missing?

Mark, thanks for the information. Hopefully, we'll see an up swing on the stock price. I like their new adds and think that will have a positive impact with future earnings. It was a pleasant surprise seeing your informative posts again. Cheers Alex

Mark; Thanks. There is something + re the new finance deal.
<< The initial conversion price of the Series D Preferred Stock will be calculated at a premium to the then current market price of General Magic common stock. The conversion price is subject to further adjustment based on future market prices of General Magic common stock>>
Here is the major difference: the conversion price will be calculated "at a premium" instead of "at a discount".
Hopefully, This "subject to further adjustment based on future market prices" does not have the same kind of "the lowest sales price of the common stock in the five trading days ....." build in.
For people to invest $20 million, they must see something good more than we have been allowed, if not the gain from shorting.
