"The judge has ruled that the recent merger of AOL and Netscape and the AOL-Sun alliance has significantly changed the competitive landscape in the Internet and computing business. He wants evidence on what impact the merger and alliance will have on Microsoft's alleged attempts to monopolize those markets."

Isn't that what you were talking about earlier?

Thanks, Teflon.

A side-note about the AT&T/Microsoft issue: One of AT&T's major divisions, Wireless, has its national headquarters in Redmond just a few miles from Microsoft. As a "local" company, AT&T Wireless sponsors some high-profile civic events like one of the 4th of July fireworks shows and some arts & entertainment events.

Microsoft has a lower profile in that kind of thing, but many of its current and former executives are active on the boards of various civic and charitable groups. I would expect that some personal friendships would develop between fairly high T execs and very high MS execs because of such interaction.
