Richard nothing is for sure this accounts for it however. We have a crazy market that is not good for the nation long range . A nation is built on investors who believe in the corporate capabality.

In my mind our market is seeing trades galore that are accidently elevating stocks beyond rational valuation.

No one wants to look at it as fact but we do have inflation if only in Stock market which is very visual numerically speaking and housing figures, at least where i live.

I watched a stock today fly on revenue which is not income. I will sell you air without a numerical equation to go with it.

The XAU needs to close above 60 today or the downtrend will most likely resume next week. A technical gap was filled yesterday. 60 is now resistance.Yesterday's action was indeed "wimpy".

richard: rarebird "speaketh" for me also... one day does not a "dead cat" make...at least 8 more weeks of down action to come...hold on to ya boot straps or whatever....:)
