***OT*** Any thoughts on where the market is headed into next week? Will investors hold over the long weekend with a war at bay? Any opinions? I am getting a lot of mixed vibes about this whole thing, some good (for the market only) some bad. The war could be over with by Monday or the heat could be turned way up over the weekend. I am thinking of going very liquid by days end and wonder if many will sell into this strength today???

Educator, my position is in the company building ATHM's networks,a small little company called HLIT,with the best telecom management in the free world. They were at 8 not long ago, big buys today from mutual funds at 29. They are unkown by the masses, but a few of us know how good a company this really is. They have big contracts with ATHM,Comcast,Charter,RCNC and a host of overseas accounts, including Rogers in Canada. I am betting that T needs to spend billions on ATHM and it will flow to little HLIT. But so is a lot of mutual fund managers, with quick trigger fingers.

ATHM stock has risen more than any large cap stock during the first quarter of 1999. The stock has increased 112% since Jan. 1st. This number was courtesy of CNBC.

Congratulations to ATHM investors! You picked a winner!

Hiram- Thanks for the link. As an @Home investor, I want the bad news as well as the good. This should be yet another wake-up call for @Home management and affiliated cable companies.

I became an @Home customer last night, with installation scheduled for next Tuesday. Afterwards, I called to ask if my account was already active, and whether or not I could access my email from work or another Internet access account I have. My hold time was 45 minutes!

Obviously it was not worth holding that long, but I wanted to see just how long it would take to get through. that was around 9 pm here in the Denver area.

And, no, the account cannot be accessed until after the installation is performed.
