I meant that if any good news was in fact pending that they might try to drop the price and scoop some cheap shares. I've seen some vicious shakes used to clean out stop orders. I thought that might be the case.

Yuppo, on manipulation. Just wondering how long it'll carry, or smething fundamental will break it out.

Your thought on the MM run yesterday to get out cheaper today doesn't pan out, since the price fell apart today, & they'd be holding the bag.

I've got it as a hold for a few days to see where the TA goes. The volume so far is laughable.

Stephen, I can certainly understand your cynicism, and to be sure goofy things have been going on with this stock. But one MM bought much over the average daily volume yesterday to print it up to 8--it wasn't just shot up there on a few shares. Thus, I don't think it was manipulated up: someone thought a deal was coming. Given that support in the high 6's has stayed, I think they still do.

FWIW I'm still holding my entire position, including my "trading" half. Their numbers have long looked great, and the fact that it trades so wildly is an opportunity for us little guys if we watch carefully. Also, I'm pleased that the de-coupling of NOV from NCES stock performance which seemed to begin last fall continues

Regards,

Dave
