Ed's setlement is great but Florida has a lot more time than we do. We need a court to put some punitive damages to force the State to settle. A late seller showed up to limit CCO's progress today

Henry,...I'm glad you can see how my compromise solution can result in some modest value for the long suffering CCO shareholders along with giving the State control over when (not if) any drilling will be allowed. There is a lot of room for juggling the dollar amounts over a wide range, but the result can be a fair settlement for both sides. I have to say that the sooner the State settles with CCO the more room they will have to negotiate. I think that the last two years have probably increased the ultimate price by a pretty large factor. I suspect that another year will increase the price a lot more. Of course the State can gamble that they can delay drilling indefinitely or until the leases expire in 2016. That is a very big gamble for the State to take and taxpayers will not be happy if the State ultimately loses in Court.
