Ok you are right. It appears that in the last 3 months the average MDIN buyer paid just under 5/16. Time = 3 months and Frequency = quarterly. It's more clear that way. So at 0.29 the average investor would be down less than 10%. That makes more sense.

What I find hard to understand is the extremely high total volume in the last 3 months. It's over a 100M shares. How did that happen when all other 9 months total about that much?

The MDIN people say it is because shorts have shorted the stock to the max and not because insiders or large shareholders are selling. How can we find proof that this is true. And what if it is not true? Then what? Any ideas?

P.S.: an interesting note about the MDIN investors, they do not sound like average Joes who have been sold a stock they know nothing about. Most of them actually sound like they have a clue and are not worried that they are not in a profit situation (i'm sure some of them actually are at a profit). Are these investors "in the know" and the first to see something good or are they something else?
