InnovaCom Delivers Industry's First Under-$30K DVD Pre-Mastering Suite SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1999--InnovaCom Inc. (OTC BB:MPEG), a Silicon Valley manufacturer of MPEG video compression systems for DVD and video Intranet transmission, Wednesday announced that it has begun shipping its $29,000 DVDimpact PreMastering Suite. Among the initial shipments are those to InnovaCom authorized resellers Midtown Video in Florida, Cheong Jo Hi-Tech of Korea and Chou Technologies in Taiwan.

DVDimpact, InnovaCom's flagship publishing system is targeted directly at multimedia studios and Fortune 1000 clients because of its high price performance value. DVDimpact is an all-in-one Windows NT solution incorporating a full suite of publishing tools required by today's DVD authors for premastering DVDs.
The DVDimpact's $29,000 price tag includes a 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 MPEG-2 video encoder, MPEG-2 decoder, PCM, MPEG and Dolby Digital Stereo audio with a basic editor, DVD Authoring Software, PaintShop Pro, a time base corrector with full proc amp controls and more.
DVDimpact is capable of controlling multiple external RS-232 and RS-422 devices, such as videotape recorders, digital disk recorders, and laser disk players. DVDimpact's powerful DVD authoring software enables advanced features such as motion menus, dual layer support, timed stills, regional coding, Dolby Digital karaoke mode and both analog and digital copy protection. Multi Camera Angle and Dolby Digital 5.1 encoding, MPEG editing for trimming and splicing MPEG files prior to authoring are also now shipping as upgrade options.
The DVDimpact user interface is as appealing as it is functional. It is designed to allow users to quickly and easily create DVDs. Typically, within two hours, users are up and running and well on their way to creating their own DVD titles.
