This is actually very bad news. It will reduce profit. The people signed up already will quit, and try to resign and get the free PC. People who do not want to use AOL will not sign up just because of the free PC. It also shows the competition is heating up, and AOL has to respond to other ISP provider's offer os free PC.

On a different note, I was wondering if anybody has heard of the usage of video in either ICQ or Instant Messenger called ICU(sp?) (no, not ICQ and no, not the telephony feature already planned.) Supposedly a killer app... just wondering if anybody else had heard about this...
