Hi Bernie,
Thanks for asking. We are making a lot of progress.
To make a long story short, I'm hoping 30-90 days.

The new version is being built in Delphi, with 2 separate functions.
The Portfolio Manager and the Simulator. The Port. Mgr. will allow tracking of unlimited real-life stock transactions, and the Simulator will be tied to a data feed for 1 click back-testing.

And then there's the addition of all the bells and whistles intended to make it infinitely flexible and multidimensional. We're shooting for kind of a "tool" that allows the user to customize the action to suit his investing style, while still maintaining the predetermined mathematics of AIM.

Vealies, stop-losses, margin, splits, negative cash, auxiliary buys, dividends, cash reserve management....you get the idea. It's a long and tedious process.

Don't worry though, the excitement of the first beta copy will definitely prevent me from keeping any secrets!

OT - The RedNeck division of Southern AIM holds there 2nd event.
This is very rewarding, I wish that I could clearly describe the thoughts thrown around the room.

I open, and have an agenda... The agenda is pushed to the side for real questions about the internet & how to understand the stock info?

The Internet and trading on line?

I bring it back to AIM, and the group moves back to their own personal questions. How do we? Why do we? Can we trust? How do we manage? There is caution on the trading floor. Market Maker, Stock Operator and Broker must gain back the control...

I voice that with only an hour, we must start on time, were 20 minutes off the mark. Well that falls on deaf ears and I feel the smerks. Put your ear to the floor and you hear, "Were here to discuss and listen, when our own questions come to mind." Damn I say, what a unique and wonderful opportunity, the minds of a few just got intellectually challenged to explore and question something that only a minority have discovered.

Ezee calls from the back of the room... The "A" in AIM is for Automatic, so we don't have to depend on our selves when we are away from the game. Just wait till he really studies and gets to the I and M <ggg>.

It's now 7:10pm, and a few begin to exit. I grab the floor once more to drive home my agenda, again I realize that the group is challenging and ever so determined to some how grasp their own destiny, their own individuality. But I hear AIM yes, AIM yes, AIM = Automatic Investment Management... So I know that the real agenda has succeeded ...

This club has it's own personality, so I step a side. Wonderful to be a part of. Wonderful to have such great leadership and support from the thread...

Damn, now I have to wait another month... Just like kissing my bride.
