Grace, I think they figured it's not cost effective for them to send 6 guys and spend 3 days to layout cable for only one house in the wood.

Grace- Your @Home story is a riot. That's the type of customer service we would all like to see. You had a unique situation, and it appeared Comcast was really willing to work with you. It's good that you were able to cut the installation cost from that staggering $1,000. I am envious of the pool. I would love one, but my lot just isn't developed right for one. **OT** I did find something HOTTER than ATHM. I rented an aerator for my lawn. (I'm kind of cheap, a do-it-yourself kinda guy, plus I love the exercise.) Anyway, when loading the machine into my truck, (and that puppy was heavy!) I rested my forearm on the manifold. Instant sizzle! It sounded like a hamburger patty hitting the grill at McDonalds. This only demonstrates that there are hotter items.:0) Ed

WOW I'm going to try that. I live Half mile from the closes box. When I built my house I laid in extra conduit under bridges, culverts, driveways, etc etc I'm ready. Greg
