Dan,
You are entirely correct until you get to your last sentence. Please note that I made the distinction between SOES, SelectNet and ECN's. They are not violating the rules by imposing absolutely no time restrictions on SelectNet and ECN orders. If one had a position larger than the SOES tier limit and wanted out he would want to avoid a SOES order with CyberBroker as he would have no way to close the position for another five minutes. If you used a Smart Market order you would have to set it to make sure SOES is not a part of the routing. It is not the CyberTrader software but the broker that interprets the SOES rules. I have been in trading offices that use CyberTrader software with no restrictions on SelectNet and ECN's after a SOES order.
