New software? Not really new....I work on Excel every day. I want to learn how to program it. I want to tell it when to put on a trade and then the parameters for removing the trade so that it can spit out results of a system that I will program in.

For example:

If the last two bars close higher than the first bar, buy one contract at the third bars close. Place a stop at 4 points. etc....etc.....

Then I want to run the system on lots of data and see what the results will be. Now if I have an idea, it takes a ton of time to "test" it as I visually have to go through the chart and write down the entries, exits etc.....

I believe the only way to really do this is to know Visual Basic...so I am going to learn it. Well, the other way is to buy Tradestation and learn easy language....I kinda like this route I think.

We shall see as I get into it......

OT

I've been playing golf with old friends, my two older sons were the caddies.

Real comedy of errors, as although I have been crushing the drives I am blind as a bat on the green.

Globex is starting to become the Real Deal as volume has expanded exponentially over the last year or so. You really have to take it into account. For my own part, I've started including Globex ranges in my programs for estimating ranges on price moves. I don't think Globex can be ignored any longer.
