Re: I think the best buying opportunities are behind us now.

I disagree with that. For those whose time frame is 1 yr to 2 yrs out, $30 is a good buy. I will buy again at $30 and expect to double my money over the next year, with a top of $80 to $100 per share in about 1 & 1/2 years out.

We are just starting this upturn, it will be a two year ride from here. Not enough capacity at 0.25um, 0.21um, 0.18um and perhaps 0.15um. Expect that 12 inch 0.12um, even at $2.5B/fab, to be overcapacity again when people see how much money can be made in the above under-capacity generations. Time to sell should be about X'mas, 2001.

This roller-coaster will never end. We have barely started this upturn. For LSI and other companies like ADI, XLNX, TI etc. who have IPs, we started this upturn of 5+% sequential quarterly growth last Q. For people like NSM, memories boys, their party hasn't begun. This is how early we are in this cycle. It's going to be a long ride, $30 LSI is no problem as a buy.

As an example, look at the 7M shares traded on Wed., the 500,000 share block crossed at $28 2 weeks ago that was about $0.75 above market at that time etc. etc. IMHO, I believe those shares were bought by very educated buyers, buyers who already had the chance to see the results of Q1 and the bookings for Q2 up close and personal.
