To argue that people wont buy fuel cell powered cars because gas is so cheap does not make much sense. The idea is that the cost of operation of a fuel cell vehicle will be the same as one that burns gas. Fuel cells will go in SUV's too.

People must get beyond the feeling of accomplishment they get from burning gasoline.

You make a good point, John, but the cost of the hybrids and their batteries will come down drastically with volume production and the designs will improve quickly, IMHO.
