BBG - It is true that Clik! would have had a better chance to penetrate the Digicam market if they had managed to get it on the market a year ago. On the other hand, the price advantage of Clik! over CompactFlash and other forms of flash memory is still substantial. You say that with flash all you need is a small, inexpensive flash reader attached to your PC. Well, that little reader will most likely cost you a hundred bucks. Add that cost to the minimum of 3 bucks a megabyte for your 48 MB CompactFlash card, and you could have bought a Clik! drive. And your incremental cost for additional storage is significantly higher with flash than with Clik! Also, it isn't surprising that the camera makers aren't talking about Clik! built-in models yet. Why would they do that when it would hurt sales of current models? I do believe, though, that Clik!'s window of opportunity is closing. It may already be closed, in fact. Maybe not, though, since there is still a lot of growth yet to come in the digital camera market. If one company introduces a camera with Clik! built in, and that camera is a success, then watch out above. But if we don't see such a camera by sometime this summer, I doubt that it will ever happen. - Allen

BBG, I think IOM was slow in getting Clik to market as well as getting the product out in large no's. I don't think it's in Canada yet but I may be wrong. Things are just starting to happen with Clik and I hope that this summer will be the beginning of built in Cliks in Digicams as well as other products.. MP3 and hand held computers. Now if IOM/digcam OEM release a camera with built in Clik and it takes off then Clik could be a big winner. It's too bad that in the tech world new products are so slow to come out... but if products are released with bugs the the law suits begin (and IOM doesn't need that). SR
