Caxton,

Phones not "outlawed" since article points out:

"Exceptions are allowed for an emergency, using the phone when the transmission is in "park" or if a speakerphone is used."

Lots of pending legislation for this type of law. Its as controversial as seatbelts (which this OH township claims to have pioneered) and helmets for motorcyclists.

Maybe auto manufacturers will get together with handset manufacturers to provide low cost, built in, universal "hands free" adapters for mobiles as standard equipment, so a road warrior doesn't have to lug a car kit when he travels and rents an auto. Oh yes battery charging equipment too.

Just thinking out loud about life in the wireless (cdma2000) 21st Century.
