A quick primer on advertising:

Most of the time ads are not directly placed by the companies (such as Barclays) but by advertising agencies (like Interpublic or Y&R, or Saatchi, etc.).

Someone from a media property (website, magazine, or whatever), will approach the ad agency and tell them about their demographics. If the media property's demographic profile meets the criteria of a certain ad campaign, the "media buyer" (a type of job at an agency) will buy the "spot" "sponsorship" "page" "banner" etc. on behalf of their client.

That is how the ad game works. The company does not scour the media property, generally, and will only tell the agencies to pull ads if there are complaints.

I would not rely on a "sponsorship" ad to form your judgement of ZSUN, and I certainly would not try and insinuate that because Barclays has an ad on the site (which they may not have even had to pay for) it is reputable.

Buyer Beware!
