anybody who thinks that Linux is irrelavent to any SGI thread needs to look deeper at what's going on out there. many, many users in SGI's core markets are begging their software vendors for Linux ports so NT will never enter their lives. this week, Side Effects announced a port.
one by one it's happening.and Sony's commanding position in the game market will give legs to Linux becoming the game development platform of choice.
we don't know what SGI gave away in it's deal with MSFT, but if that relationship prevents a Linux effort, the deal may be a straightjacket that costs a lot over time.

Well it's a whole week and a whole dozen posts on the SGI thread. As Vincent said. If you don't see how linux is related to SGI fortunes, well dems da breaks. Dell is a mid to high end PC company and they have embraced Linux. SGI is a handmaiden of the borg. Hope those flat panels start selling.

Oh the pizza is on the table.
