With its "groupthink" attitude and refusal to consider any negative opinions, the TSIG thread has been the most depressing thread I have followed on SI. It's really sad to see people like Ditchdigger, Tidegilder and yourself attacked just for expressing an honest opinion. Although Ditchdigger warned us all about the floorless PP, and turned out to be right, nobody has apologized for all the insults they have thrown at him.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with your assessment of this thread and people on it. "Groupthink?" Maybe too much is open to pure interpretation, I don't know, but I see some - including myself - who DO ask questions and seek answers. No "groupthink" mentality in that. There have been several issues lately that have come up and been discussed, picked apart, questioned, etc. And there is so much information (good and bad) in this recent 10K that is still being absorbed. The past 24 hours or so of posts on this thread haven't been what I'd call highlights of it (wry grin here), but the discussion the other night mostly between MskiHntr and Ditchdigger was actually level-headed and informative. Very much so, in fact.

Yes, Ditchdigger was correct in that the debentures are floorless and I believe he knows people on this thread know that. From past experience I do view what he posts with a skeptical eye, and for good reason, but on this he was correct.

As far as Zeev and TideGlider, there is yet to be what I personally could call "an honest opinion" forthcoming from them. Honest opinion? And based on what?

There is no way at this time to know without doubt that Zeev is or is not an "expert" on debentures. However, it is obvious to me that he IS knowledgeable and I for one was actually looking forward to what knowledge & opinion(s) he could offer this thread's discussion.

But what did we get? Nothing. At least in my book. He's barely read anything on which to base an opinion.

From Message 8680148
"I do not know the nature of the debentures here"
and
"It is not worth my while to look into it in more detail."

While financing was obviously necessary, the fact that it is what it is is not something I'm happy about. However, the business plan, as being executed, is what has & keeps me here. Zeev apparently is not aware of it (the business plan) and is also apparently unwilling to become aware of it. If he was and is, then I for one would be quite willing - maybe even eager - to hear what he has to say about it, just as I am interested in others' opinions when they are based on facts and knowledge. I reserve the right to weigh others' opinions against my own and make my own decisions, however.

Who knows? Maybe "friendship" or "alliance" with Ditchdigger colors his judgement? I can't say for sure. Zeev seems to be more open though about possibilities and potential if it is a stock or company HE likes.

For example:
Message 8673069
"a.j, don't leave us in suspense, larger than 1 carat, sounds good, but could we hope that it is larger than the "Hope"?"

Message 8674857
"aj, well, I was hoping... Yet if your report is correct and they got a one carat plus gem quality stone, there is real hope for a mine."

He considers potential for other companies:

Message 8671643
"Ray, whether the shares of AIPN are rationally or irrationally low really depends on what one could "forecast" as the outlook for AIPN."

See what I mean? Maybe if he was willing to take the time to become more knowledgeable of TSIG he would be more open to the potential? At the very least his opinion would then be based on something.

And as for TideGlider, several of us have asked questions which go unanswered (including whether or not he has even researched TSIG), as he seems more intent on wasting time & space here with his personal feelings and mere one-liners in attempts to engage people in argument.

Is there anything other than that and TSIG-specific here in these posts?:

Maybe if they wanted to and could discuss TSIG, the "welcome" they receive would be different. And add to the discussion here. I would welcome it.

Speaking only for myself, for now I can only consider the source. Not what they say. At least not with any weight.
