jjsirius,

someone on CNBC (I forgot who) was commenting that the internut stocks are now capitalized at almost $500 billion.

This reminds of an investment book I read many years ago regarding investing in start ups. It said something like the 4 stages that a company goes through. First it is the concept stage when someone is trying to sell an idea, the stock price is generally very low here. Second is the show me stage. At this stage, something starts happening and investors want the company to show some results to jump in. Then come the blossom stage when it looks like the idea is good. This is the stage that investors should jump in and take it for the strong ride up. Finally comes the maturity stage that all the good profits are gone.

In contrast, today's internut stocks have proven this theory totally wrong. Most are simply in the first stage and they already command prices far beyond the final stage. It is going to be a big mess when that bubble bursts.
