seems to me that the only companies allowed to live and grow to obscene proportions are Microsoft, its investments and allies. Everything else is systematically cannibalized to steer capital into the Microsoft empire. At this point every federal worker in a stock fund is having the bulk of their money poured directly into Microsoft because they can only invest in the index, and Microsoft is rapidly becoming the index. The single biggest customer of Microsoft is the federal government, and the gov will fail without massive upgrades to their computing infrastructure..it leads me down a few thought paths..
1) do Gates and Allen day-trade their own investments?
2) is the US Government about to be overthrown by the Microsoft Empire?
3) is the nation's 1.4 trillion 401Ks being used as a tax to pay off exortion-like demands from Microsoft to fix federal government computing systems so the gov doesn't go bankrupt next year?
If only we knew the truth...
