Doug, As a general rule, the growth always ramps up very fast at the initial phase of development(past year for eBay), eventually the growth slows and plateaus. I feel this is what's happening to eBay. Despite ebay's tremenduous success in the past, still a very small portion of population buys and sells on eBay. Most people around me don't use eBay. The only way to propel continued growth is to raise the public awareness of eBay. eBay's name has not achieved the level of popularity of Yahoo.
