Well nuke, you know a lot more about war than I do. The only blood I've ever spilled was my own when I cut my finger building a model airplane. I think it was a P51 Mustang.

There's no excuse for everyone losing their heads. What you're suggesting is an all-out battle to let might make right. Not a civilised picture, and not one you'd bring upon your own neighborhood.
