I confess, I was trying an experiment in tone. Have you ever noticed that we are much "nicer" to women, even on-line, than we are to men? My perception is that if I express myself to a woman the way I express myself to a man, sometimes it comes across as harsh. And, when feathers are ruffled, usually it is the women who try to smooth them, although the men will chime in after the women start. This isn't invariable, some women are complete jerks, but usually complete jerks are men. IMHO.
