jach,

This story might help you understand why certain companies can sport a high PE ratio.

Jim's method is similar to the one that I have used for a number of years and has led to my biggest profits over the years.

Eric, ref: why CSCO is overpriced post ? -

Just presenting the facts in regards to the comparison between CSCO vs (CPQ+HWP+SUNW). Next year earning for CSCO $1.83 vs next year's combined earnings for the trio about 10$. The trio revenue is eight times more than CSCO. BUT, CSCO mkt cap is more than the trio. Again, just presenting the simple fact that CSCO is way overpriced NOW.
Simple question, if you've tons of cash to buy these companies today, will you get the trio or just CSCO only. For me, I'll get the trio, why ? simple reason, that is revenue is 80B$, earnings are 10$ for the trio. Getting CSCO will give me revenue of 10B$ and earning a mere $1.83.
